At Home Care Hospice in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a dedicated Hospice CNA to provide dignity, comfort, and support to patients in a home setting. The role offers a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 8 AM-5 PM) with flexible benefits and a supportive team environment.

The position emphasizes personal care, patient comfort, and teamwork within a growing hospice organization. CPR certification and 6+ months of CNA experience are required, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Formación

• Six months CNA experience including personal care
• Must be 18+ years old
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 hours of classroom before 16 hours of practical training
• Must possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Hospice philosophy understanding and ability to work with terminally ill patients
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills

Responsabilidades

• Personal Care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning
• Monitor & Report: observe and report changes in patient condition
• Mobility: assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, safe equipment use
• Medication Assistance: help with self-administered medications per state regulations
• Emotional Support: provide companionship and comfort to patients and families
• Light Housekeeping: change linens, assist with meals, maintain a clean space
• Documentation: maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Team Participation: collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team
