Job summary
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for a full-time opportunity to complete hospice visits for clients located throughout Bergen and Hudson counties. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering home health aide, skilled nursing, and palliative care in clients' homes.
We offer flexible schedules, 1:1 patient ratios, and comprehensive benefits. Must have reliable transportation and NJ Aide Registry active status.
Qualifications
- At least one year of work experience as a Home Health Aide (or similar)
- Must be listed on the NJ Aide Registry, active and in good standing
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Pass BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
- Criminal background check completed
- Meet all state requirements
- Team-oriented, compassionate caregiving approach
Responsibilities
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Light housekeeping
- Bathing and grooming
- Toileting and nail care
- Range of motion and exercises
- Transfers with lifting devices
- Oral feeding and medication assistance
- Vital sign checks
- Home management tasks (laundry, meals, etc.)
- Assisting with ambulation
- Provide high-quality home health care in clients' homes
