Qualifications and Skills

• Degree from an accredited theological school is preferred.
• Experience counseling people from diverse religious/spiritual backgrounds.
• Knowledgeable of the religious community within the hospice service area.
• Experience relating to a wide variety of patients/families.
• Must understand and agree with the hospice philosophy.
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Willingness to serve on-call.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and minimum state required liability auto insurance.
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; self-directed and able to work independently.
• A professional image and ability to maintain a positive and respectful attitude are crucial.
