Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide/CNA to provide essential personal care and emotional support to patients at home or in facilities. You’ll work as part of a dedicated hospice care team, ensuring comfort, dignity, and peace for patients and families at end-of-life journeys.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, mobility assistance, meal prep, documentation, and participation in team QA activities. Current CNA license, CPR, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations.
• Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols at all times.
