Job summary

Compassus in North Carolina is seeking a Hospice Aide to deliver compassionate care at home and collaborate with the hospice team to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. You will help patients approach final days with dignity and joy, supporting families and preserving quality of life.

Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, CPR certification required, and licensure requirements vary by state.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred.
• In states where licensure is not required, applicants must meet one of the following: licensed/certified aide or completed a state-approved nurse aide training program and have 24 months of continuous employment in that capacity.
• Current CPR certification required.

Hospice Aide Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred.
• In states where licensure is not required (AL, CT, GA, IA, IL, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MS, MT, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV), applicants must meet one of the following:
  • They are already a licensed/certified aide; or
  • They have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program AND have been continuously employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months
• Current CPR certification required.
