Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, hands-on care in patients' homes. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor health status, and support families with respite care.

The role emphasizes dignity, empathy, and adherence to hospice philosophy in a home setting. Applicants should have Hospice Aide/CNA training and CPR certification, be reliable with transportation, and be comfortable working with end-of-life patients and families.

Qualifications

• Completion of state-required Hospice Aide/CNA training
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to follow care plans, document clearly, and communicate effectively
• Comfort working with end-of-life patients and families
• Strong empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patient homes

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding)
• Support comfort through repositioning, mobility assistance, and skin care
• Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home
• Offer respite support to caregivers and families
• Observe and report changes to the RN/Case Manager
• Assist with vital signs and basic care tasks as directed
• Document care accurately and timely
• Communicate with compassion across patients, families, and team
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards

What You'll Do

Deliver Compassionate, Hands-On Care

• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding

What You Bring

• Completion of state-required Hospice Aide/CNA training (CNA certification if required by state)
