Job summary

PIRTEK Hose Installation Technician position in New Jersey involves operating from a mobile hose workshop and performing service calls to install and service hoses for varied customers. You will be trained to fabricate flexible hose assemblies on site using specialized equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to use hand tools.
• Strong communication and positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to perform on-site service calls.

Responsibilities

• Service, assemble and install hoses for a diverse customer base.
• Carry out service calls in the local area.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards.
• Ensure oil spills / environmental contaminants from hose failure and/or repair are cleaned or contained to customer’s satisfaction and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits.
• Participate in the rotating on‑call schedule (with increased incentive pay).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

PIRTEK, the nation’s leading provider for on-site hydraulic and industrial hose replacement, is hiring for the position of Hose Installation Technician.

As a Hose Installation Technician, you will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile hose workshop/van and carrying out service calls in the local area. This provides the opportunity to develop relationships with new and existing customers.

Successful candidates will be fully trained to operate a purpose-built PIRTEK service truck fitted with specialized equipment designed to fabricate flexible hose assemblies on site.

Skills & Abilities Needed

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop for moderate to extended periods
• Safely use ladders, step‑ups, stairs, etc.
• Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools and specialized equipment required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and lawfully drive a large work van

Compensation: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
