ContiTech in Houston is seeking a reliable Hose Assembly Technician to perform production, testing, packing, safety, quality, cost and delivery objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner.
You will follow production plans, read drawings and BOMs, operate hand and power tools, maintain inventory, conduct quality checks, document defects, and uphold health, safety and environmental requirements on the shop floor.

The mission of the position is to perform hose assembly production related objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. These objectives include but are not limited to hose assembly, testing of products, packing, safety, quality, cost and delivery. This position insures safe operation, quality, compliance, training, equipment reliability and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
Shop environment. Works in confined workspaces. Frequent exposure to possible shop hazards including heavy equipment, chemicals, flash burns, UV exposure, hot parts, eye injuries, high pressure and high noise levels. 90% of time is spent on the shop floor or in outdoor areas.
Team player but able to work on own initiative, ability to meet deadlines even under pressure, reliability, good communicator, strong attention to detail, assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of hand held and/or power tools.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, push, pull, grasp, or reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and perform repetitive motions. Dexterity of hands to perform the tasks required of the position. Regularly lift and/or move moderate to heavy objects up to 60 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch or crawl. Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time. Sight in order to be aware of hazards and dangers found in the nature of the work.
