Job summary

Teknor Apex South Carolina Plant is seeking a Shift Leader to model leadership, coach teams, and ensure safety and quality on the production floor. The role requires 4-6 years of production experience with leadership exposure and a GED or higher.

You will monitor ISO 9001 compliance, coach 5S, and drive continuous improvement in a high‑volume manufacturing setting. You will engage with cross-functional teams, manage shift handovers, and foster a non-retaliatory, collaborative culture while

These relationships are what allow us—together—to deliver customized compound solutions and help our customer’s create better products.“Manufacturing is a team sport and we work together to achieve our goals.” ~Jon FainJoin the team behind our custom compounds.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:As a key leader at Teknor Apex South Carolina Plant, model the right leadership behaviors that align with our Core Values and build relationships and collaboration across the shift, other shifts and cross functionally.Model, promote and uphold our Core Values (Accountability, Integrity, Respect, Safety, Sustainability, Innovation & Partnership)Spend 40-50% of time on floor throughout shift getting to know and help the team, recognize the positives, audit to ensure process are being followed and coach when necessary.Be present and active in the end of the shift turnover, ensuring that there is a good turnover of information between leaders and team membersMonitor and take immediate action for suspicion of alcohol, smoking and drug/substance abuse on Teknor Company Property, setting & modeling expectations as the shift leader.
