Job summary

The University of Georgia's CAES-Horticulture department in the Tifton Area is seeking a Horticulture Student Assistant (Conner 2) to support field, seed processing, laboratory and greenhouse activities. You will participate in data collection, harvesting, seed processing, shelling, and greenhouse work as part of a team.

Laboratory duties include performing polymerase chain reaction for marker-assisted selection, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Some education and experience in biology or plant science is preferred.
• Knowledge of crops, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to collect data and perform harvesting in the field.
