Job summary

University of Georgia seeks a Horticulture Research Associate to independently manage field and laboratory research projects across southern Georgia, coordinating with faculty, graduate students, extension personnel, and grower collaborators to implement activities.

Responsibilities include planning trials, using agricultural machinery and precision technologies, collecting soils and yields, analyzing data, and preparing reports and outreach materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of science.
• Certification or ability to obtain FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute field and laboratory research activities across southern Georgia.
• Coordinate with faculty, graduate students, staff, extension personnel, and growers to implement research activities.
• Plan and oversee field trials, collect soil, plant, and yield data, analyze results, and prepare reports and publications.
