The Hawbridge School seeks a passionate, hands-on Horticulture Teacher to lead a dynamic 7–12 program that integrates environmental science, agriculture, and place-based learning. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture Education, Environmental Science, or related field.
• North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility) in Agriculture Education or related area.
• Experience with gardening, greenhouse management, or environmental education.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Commitment to hands-on, experiential learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a standards-aligned horticulture curriculum for grades 7-12, aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (CTE standards).
• Develop lesson plans, units, and assessments.
• Provide hands-on, project-based learning experiences, including garden-based instruction and outdoor labs.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote student engagement.
• Integrate place-based education and cross-curricular opportunities.
