Job summary

Minot Park District is seeking a Horticulture/Maintenance Technician to perform skilled groundskeeping and maintenance across park grounds, zoo grounds, and athletic complexes in Minot, ND. This full-time role involves applying fertilizers and chemicals, mowing and watering, shelter cleaning, and assisting in greenhouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred two years horticulture degree or two years experience in horticulture.
• Two years in maintenance/ carpentry/ construction or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining park grounds, zoo grounds, and athletic complexes.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals to park grounds.
• Assist with watering, mowing, and seasonal cleanups.
• Assist in shelter cleaning, trash removal, and event setup.
• Assist in greenhouse management and insect control.
• Support in all sports field operations and facility maintenance.
