Job description

Overview

Spend the remainder of this summer where people from around the world come to vacation.

Vail Stables has been introducing guests to Colorado's Rocky Mountains for over 20 years. We are looking for dependable, energetic people who enjoy working outdoors, love animals, and take pride in doing exceptional work.

This is not a job where you sit around waiting for customers. You'll be moving all day, working with horses, helping guests, maintaining trails and equipment, and becoming part of a close-knit team.

Qualifications
  • Show up on time. Every time.
  • Learn quickly and enjoy being coached.
  • Notice details and take initiative.
  • Stay calm under pressure.
  • Are physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
  • Care about horses and guest safety.
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Horse experience is a plus, but it isn\'t everything. Some of our best guides started with very little horse experience because they were eager to learn and naturally observant.

Responsibilities
  • Saddle and care for horses
  • Guide horseback rides through the mountains
  • Assist guests before, during, and after rides
  • Maintain tack, corrals, and facilities
  • Keep trails safe and clear
  • Work as part of a professional team
