Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a honing machine operator to set up and maintain honing equipment in a warehouse environment. You will read instructions, load set-ups, and assist with machine maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will train new staff and troubleshoot issues, with a focus on following established honing processes and specifications from drawings and tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years manufacturing experience.
• Some computer knowledge.
• Basic reading and writing skills in English.
• Basic math skills or ability to use a calculator.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
• Able to stay on task for long periods.

Position Summary

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
• Exposure to oil and water
• PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes

Additional Information

Salary and Benefits

The hourly range is $20/hour - $28/hr. The range is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
