Job summary

Kendall Honda in Eugene is seeking Honda Line Technicians / Mechanics. Top flat rate pay in the area starting at $25.00-$32.00/hr depending on work history and experience, plus relocation packages and career path development opportunities.

Work is indoors in a shop; candidates need at least two years of dealership or large shop experience. ASE certifications are preferred, license required, with a Monday–Friday 8–5 schedule and occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

  • Two years previous mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop or automotive school experience.
  • ASE certifications are preferred.
  • Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and identify work to be completed on various vehicles.
  • Perform adjustments and calibrations and replenish fluids.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components and repair or replace parts.
  • Document all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies and road test vehicles.

Job duties will include inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles. Performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, and repairing or replacing parts. Using independent judgment needed to make decisions, documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies, and road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.

Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.

Requirements

This is not an entry level position. Candidates must have a minimum of two years previous mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop or automotive school experience. ASE certifications are preferred. Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver license and good driving record are required. The required schedule for the position would be Monday – Friday 8-5 with the flexibility of occasionally working Saturday if needed.
