Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a licensed RN to provide skilled nursing services in pediatric private duty settings. All care is conducted under physician orders and within applicable laws and agency policies. Responsibilities include administering medications, following care plans, and documenting in medical records.

The role offers flexible shifts, with 1:1 care and paid sick time. Candidates must hold an active RN license, CPR certification, and be a licensed driver with suitable auto

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined by the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Follows medical practitioner orders and client care plans.
• Documents changes in orders in the medical record per Agency procedures.
• Performs pediatric skilled nursing duties including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Collaborates with the client’s care team and ensures client safety.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
