Job Description

We are seeking skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) with homecare ventilator experience to work within our clients’ homes providing direct patient care.

Following a physician established plan of treatment and working under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, our Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) provide and instruct patients and their families in proper treatment, help individuals and groups take steps to improve or maintain health. As a Maxim LVN you will assess and record symptoms and/or reactions, progress in your patient(s), administer medications, and assist in rehabilitation in accordance with the physician’s established plan of treatment. Maxim believes that qualified nurses are advocates and health educators for patients, families and communities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered state license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required with home health experience preferred
• Minimum one (1) year working with a homecare patient on a ventilator. Must be able to relay information about the ventilator you have worked on.
• Ventilator certification required. Maxim WILL PAY for certification course, if needed.
• Fluent, or proficient, in Spanish a PLUS
• Current CPR certification
• Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements
• Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray
• Reliable transportation
