Chicago is seeking compassionate Homemakers / Home Care Aides to join our team. This role provides in-home support to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and transportation as outlined in the care plan.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, good health, and passing the agency exam with at least 75%.

Qualifications

• Related training or experience is a plus.

• Must be in good physical health.
• Must pass agency exam with a score of 75% or higher.

• Perform light housekeeping duties such as: Making and changing beds; Dusting; Vacuuming; Washing floors; Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms; Laundry
• Assist with essential shopping and errands in accordance with the care plan
• Handle client funds for approved errands when authorized and supervised
• Support clients in following written special diet plans as outlined in the care plan

Position Summary

Homemakers provide essential in-home support to individuals who need assistance due to age, illness, disability, or other health-related conditions. Services may include housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, errands, transportation, companionship, and respite support.

Our Homemakers play an important role in improving the quality of life of our clients by delivering care in a respectful, compassionate, and professional manner, in accordance with agency policies and industry standards.

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
