Job summary

The River Trails School District 26 seeks a Homebound Tutor to support an 8th grade math student with periodic ELA check-ins. The assignment is up to 8 hours per week for about 10 weeks, with sessions held in the student’s home.

Experience with tutoring in math and ability to adapt to a home-based setting is appreciated. Compensation is $32.00 per hour, per the negotiated agreement.

Qualifications

• Some ELA check-ins during tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one math tutoring to an 8th grade student in the home.
• Incorporate occasional ELA check-ins as part of the tutoring plan.
• Follow district homebound policies and scheduling guidelines.

Homebound Tutor

This position will be for 8 th grade math instruction, with someELAcheck-ins, in a one - on - one tutoring setting. This position is up to 8 hours a week, for approximately 10 weeks (through winter break) . The placement for this opportunity will take place in the student's home.
A homebound tutor does not need to be highly qualified (endorsed) in the specific area (s). The pay rate for homebound tutoring services is outlined in our current Negotiations Agreement, 202 6 -20 31 , at $3 2 .00 per hour.

Homebound services are provided to a student when a licensed medical physician determines that the student will be, or is anticipated to be, out of school for a minimum of two consecutive weeks (10 days) or more, or on an ongoing intermittent basis, due to a medical condition.
