Job summary

Qualifications

• Comprehensive PK–12 curriculum knowledge and instructional practices.
• Working knowledge of behavior management strategies and learning principles.
• Working knowledge of special education instructional supports and accommodations.
• Ability to engage students with significant behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for individual needs.
• Modify curricula with homebound and IEP requirements as needed.
• Coordinate with home campus and facility staff to implement instructional goals.
• Deliver homebound instruction while maintaining district standards for confidentiality.
• Adapt schedule to accommodate facility operations.
