Job summary

Pitt County Schools seeks a part-time Homebound Instructor in North Carolina to provide instructional support under a 504 plan. This contract role is up to four hours per week and focuses on delivering targeted instructional activities in the student’s home.

The position involves coordinating with parents and school staff, modifying assignments as required by the 504 plan, planning instructional activities, and maintaining thorough documentation of all duties performed under the contract.

Responsibilities

• serve as liaison between the student/parent and school instructional and administrative personnel (including serving as a member of the student 504 plan meetings)
• support the student with completing and submitting assignments provided by instructional staff at the student's school
• modify student assignments as outlined thorugh the student medical 504 plan
• plan and provide instructional activities for the child through homebound instructional service delivery
• keep documentation of all duties related to the contract (parent communication, instructional activities provided, timesheet, mileage)
