Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to bring eye care to customers at their doorstep. You will dispense lenses to all levels and travel across our region, delivering friendly, professional service.

The role offers training, a generous benefits package, a car allowance, and a balanced schedule Monday to Friday with flexibility. A full UK driving licence is essential and previous optical experience is preferred.

Are you ready to take your skills on the road? As a Home Visits Optical Assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that.

If you love your job but are a bit bored, if you love working with patients but want a new challenge, then this role might be for you.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region stretches from Romford across to Colchester and from Bishop's Stortford down to Southend-on-Sea, but our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, although there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within the region.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels.

• Salary: up to £29,000 per annum DOE (combined package of up to £35,000 per annum)

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant. These include:

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
• You must hold a full UK driving licence
