Job summary

Linn County Public Health seeks a Part-Time Health Services Nurse in the Family Connects program to provide postpartum home visiting and nursing care for newborns and their mothers, participating in program planning and community health activities.

This on-site, non-supervisory role requires Oregon RN licensure; experience in Labor/Delivery or Nursery/NICU preferred; Spanish bilingualism preferred; successful background check and valid Oregon driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery or Nursery/NICU nursing preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate and implement general community health nursing service in assigned area of responsibility or special program.
• Make home, office or telehealth visits, giving direct patient care within the scope of standing orders; teaching and demonstrating nursing care to patients and families.
• Plan and exchange information with physicians and other health workers for more effective care; develop community organization and planning for health services.
• Maintain records for nursing services to families and clinics, and make reports as required.
• Develop and maintain effective work relationships with others.
• Use of personal vehicle to and from home visits; mileage reimbursement may be provided.
