People Working Cooperatively, Inc. is seeking a Home Remodel/Repairs Generalist in the Cincinnati area to perform residential repairs, maintenance, and remodeling projects.

You will use hands-on skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, drywall, flooring, painting, and related trades to deliver quality workmanship for PWC clients. The ideal candidate has strong practical skills in one or more trades and is willing to learn additional skills.

This position uses hands-on construction and home improvement skills to complete quality work in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, heating/HVAC, drywall, flooring, painting, and other residential repair and remodeling activities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in residential construction, home remodeling, home repair, property maintenance, or a related skilled trade.


• Experience in one or more areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC/heating, roofing, drywall, flooring, painting, framing, exterior repairs, or general residential construction.


• Ability and willingness to learn additional home repair and remodeling skills.


• Ability to read and understand work orders, measurements, material instructions, and basic construction information.


• Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and determine appropriate solutions.


• Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, equipment, and materials associated with residential construction and repair.


• Ability to work independently with appropriate direction and as part of a team.


• Ability to communicate effectively and relate respectfully to people from diverse backgrounds.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.


• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation appropriate for the position. Required vehicle insurance must be maintained.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Relevant hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, home repair, maintenance, or a skilled trade preferred.


• Formal trade education, apprenticeship, certification, or licensing may be considered in place of some work experience.


• Three years of related experience preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience may be considered.
