Job summary

Kroger, a leading grocery retailer, is seeking a Home Merchandising Manager in Anchorage to assist with department management, maximize financial opportunities, and assume duties when managers are absent. Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or related field plus six months of Fred Meyer experience and one year of related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, weekends, any shift, overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel independently on a rare basis.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Accuracy/attention to detail.
• Organize/prioritize tasks/projects.
• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
• Ability to continue education, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer incident and associate injury reports.
• Communicate daily tours, sales, and goals to staff.
• Understand and follow labor agreements where applicable.
• Promote and follow Company initiatives.
• Verify recovery and store conditions.
• Process special orders.
• Maintain stockroom fixture bay and review bay dating.
• Verify all read and signs are completed.
• Train associates and follow up on training needs.
• Process salvage, returns, call backs, recalls, and review write offs.
• Review supply needs and recap to File Maintenance Clerk.
• Verify accuracy of Toy & Variety consolidation orders.
