Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings.

You will educate patients and caregivers, perform routine maintenance, and support documentation and billing to ensure quality care and reimbursement. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required for this field-based role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience with one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies.
• Complete documentation and support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
