Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or other care sites. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and perform routine maintenance while complying with HIPAA and infection control standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and prior healthcare or field service experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service and field-based delivery or healthcare experience preferred.
• Senior level requires more years in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of Home Medical Equipment products and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory/HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per safety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; operate a company vehicle.
