Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment, provide equipment setup, and educate patients on proper usage. Ideal candidates have at least one year of driving experience, a valid license, strong customer service, and the ability to lift heavy items.

Responsibilities include following routes, maintaining vehicles and records, and interacting professionally with patients and colleagues. On-call evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional driving experience.
• Home care/healthcare background is a plus.
• Must maintain a valid driver''s license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork.

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address patient medical emergencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training


• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required


• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older


• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older


• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing


• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed


• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees


• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork


• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
