Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to perform warehouse functions, assemble and package deliveries, rotate inventory, and data entry of patient information.

The role supports efficient and timely delivery of medications to patient homes, ambulatory infusion sites, or other locations. The position requires meeting state requirements for Pharmacy Technicians, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and auto insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid driver's license and maintain a driving record which meets company's standards and must have auto insurance in effect at all times.
• Meets all state requirements for a Pharmacy Technician, which may be registration, licensure or certification.
• TEXAS REQUIREMENT: Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred; Pharmacy Technician in training required.
• OHIO REQUIREMENT: Pharmacy technicians must be registered. Technicians can pick/label/pack non-compounded drugs but are prohibited from performing any duties related to steril.

Responsibilities

• Develops positive working rapport with courier service where applicable and understands delivery protocol.
• Maintains assigned vehicle in clean and orderly condition; informs supervisor of mechanical problems.
• Gathers and checks compounding material prior to entry into the clean room.
• Compounds sterile preparations as needed.
• Labels compounded sterile preparations when state regulations permit.
• Keeps stock and inventories organized; assists with routine inventory counts.
• Assembles and prepares patient deliveries; receives and stocks incoming orders.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; adheres to safety and HIPAA/ACHC requirements.
