Job summary

LUX Infusion is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (Home Infusion) to deliver safe, compassionate infusion care in patients' homes across the New Cumberland, PA area. You will perform IV insertions, monitor and document care, and educate patients and caregivers while coordinating with internal teams.

Required are an active RN license with at least 2 years of experience, IV certification, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program and an active RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; multi-state licensure is a plus.
• IV certification with central line care and infusion therapy experience.
• Experience in home care, critical care, emergency nursing, or discharge planning.
• Strong documentation and patient care skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality home infusion care including IV insertion and removal.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, obtain vitals, and document care.
• Perform central line care with infection control best practices.
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy and line care.

In this role, you'll contribute to work that:

• Helps patients feel seen, supported, and confident managing their therapy
• Supports clinicians and care teams through clear communication and reliable documentation
• Ensures safe and effective treatment delivery during complex healthcare journeys

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality home infusion care, including IV insertion, monitoring, and removal, while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout therapy
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, perform assessments, obtain vital signs, and document all care activities accurately
• Perform venous phlebotomy and manage central line care, ensuring proper technique and infection control standards
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, medication administration, and line care
• Coordinate patient care and scheduling in partnership with internal teams, agencies, and nursing leadership
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and internal teams to address needs, resolve issues, and support care continuity
• Review and complete nursing documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clinical standards
• Support care coordination by sharing updates, therapy administration reports, and relevant patient information with appropriate stakeholders
• Respond to changes in patient condition and elevate concerns as needed to physicians and care teams
• Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of care delivery
• Travel to patient homes and healthcare settings within the assigned area

What We're Looking For

• Nursing degree from an accredited program
• Active RN license (minimum 2 years of experience); multi-state licensure a plus
• IV certification with experience in central line care and infusion therapy
• Experience in home care, critical care, emergency nursing, ambulatory infusion, or hospital discharge planning
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and caregivers
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to patient homes

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree
• CPR certification
• Experience with care coordination, staffing, or scheduling
• Familiarity with medical terminology and home infusion workflows

Pay Range/Rate

$45 - $55 USD
