Job summary

Coastal Home Health, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Speech Therapist in Alabama for full-time, part-time, or PRN positions. You will assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, and develop treatment plans to improve patient outcomes in home health care.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the State of Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by Alabama state laws and the plan of care.
• Evaluates patient function and assists with therapy plan of care development.
• Treats patients to facilitate effective communication.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment to supervising staff.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregivers in speech therapy activities.
