Job summary

Amedisys in Houma, LA is seeking a registered nurse for PRN home health shifts, with minimum six months of home health experience.

You will coordinate and oversee patient care at home, educate families, perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications and injections, and supervise LPNs and HHAs.

The role offers an hourly range of $33–$40 with comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a leading home health provider.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid for the assigned state(s).
• Minimum six months home health experience required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to navigate computers and online HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care.
• Educate families about patient condition and care needs.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, or tube feedings as needed.
• Administer and maintain catheters and supervise LPNs and HHAs.
• Document care timely and communicate progress to care team.
