Job summary

Best Home Health Providers, Inc. seeks a per diem Registered Nurse in California to support patient care and documentation accuracy. You will review OASIS, ensure proper ICD-10 coding, and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities include monitoring visit utilization, identifying risks, and contributing to quality improvement efforts while staying current with regulatory requirements. A flexible schedule and per diem pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing in California.
• 1–2 years of clinical home health experience.
• Knowledge of OASIS assessments and ICD-10 coding.
• Familiarity with federal regulations and state licensure requirements.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with computer systems and electronic health records.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Review OASIS assessments for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing per patient condition.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve documentation issues.
• Monitor visit utilization and flag financial/risk concerns.
• Identify trends affecting agency outcomes and processes.
• Conduct OASIS inter-rater reliability visits with clinicians.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance activities.
• Stay current with best practices through ongoing education.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services.
