Job summary

Interim HealthCare in the Houston area seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to service patients in the Houston area. The PTA will work under supervision of the physical therapist, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to care planning and patient education.

Qualifications include TX PTA licensure and CPR certification, with 2 years of PTA experience preferred. The role requires travel within service area and strong communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a PTA in the state(s) where practice occurs.
• 2 years PTA experience preferred in the assigned patient population.
• CPR certification required.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance if driving is involved.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient.
• Works under supervision of the treating physical therapist and per plan of care.
• Contributes to the development and evaluation of the plan of care with patient and caregivers.
• Provides services ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care.
• Assists in documenting patient progress and response to treatment.
• Completes timely, legible documentation addressing treatment and progress toward goals.
