Job summary

Better @ Home in The Villages, Florida, is seeking a PRN Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This role supports patients in their homes, following a care plan prepared with a supervising Physical Therapist.

The position requires Florida PTA licensure, CPR, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability. You will deliver exercise instruction, patient education, and coordinate with the care team to promote patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida (current, valid).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle or public transport.
• Willingness to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers and mobility.
• Observe and document patient responses to treatment and coordinate with the supervising PT, nurse and physician as needed.
• Educate patient, family and caregivers about therapy within the PTA scope and safety considerations.
