The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist and per the physician's plan of care.

The PTA will treat patients, conduct therapeutic exercises, and aid in gait and functional training in home health/senior living settings. Responsibilities include documenting clinical notes, using modalities like heat or ultrasound, and instructing patients in mobility aids while collaborating with the organization’s Home

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an A.S. degree approved by the APTA.
• Current license or certification as required by state law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• CPR certification maintained.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of a qualified physical therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training.
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, ultrasound and massage.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the PT and organization staff.
• Instruct patients in care and use of mobility aids and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Maintain clinical records and notes within prescribed timeframes.
• Participate in Home Care Team meetings and inservice education.
