Job summary

CareRing Health, LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide prescribed treatments and modalities to restore clients to their maximum rehabilitation potential.

Responsibilities include PT assessments, direct therapy services, caregiver education, and coordination with physicians. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered; strong teamwork and documentation are required to support discharge planning and care continuity.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Physical Therapy License.
• Graduated from an approved physical therapy program.
• One year of clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing physical therapy assessments to determine client functional level.
• Provides direct therapeutic physical therapy services as planned by the Agency staff and physician.
• Evaluates equipment needs to increase functional level.
• Documents client status and progress for physicians and Agency staff; performs interim evaluations if needed.
• Teaches and supervises nurses, aides, caregivers and clients in maintenance therapy.
• Collaborates with Agency staff on goals and outcomes; shares in conferences and trainings.
• Delivers treatments in accordance with accepted standards for client conditions.
• Contributes to plan of care development with Agency staff and physicians.
• Coordinates discharge planning with Nurse Case Manager and other stakeholders.
• Maintains timely, comprehensive clinical records.
• Develops and instructs staff in maintenance therapy programs; manages equipment.
