Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Two years of experience in adult occupational therapy; home health experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills; problem solving; basic math; clinical competencies in therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluation and treatment based on physician orders; recommend adaptive equipment.
• Set measurable goals and develop treatment plans to maximize independence.
• Maintain communication among treatment team, physician, patient, and family.
• Document services timely to ensure proper billing.
• Supervise OT Assistants in direct patient care per state rules.
