Job summary

First Senior Home Health Clearwater is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to help manage medical records, process physician orders, and support administrative and marketing activities. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and teamwork with clinical and external partners.

The position focuses on records management, order processing, and coordination with physicians to ensure timely care and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably home health.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and home health documentation standards (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming/outgoing physician orders and timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records per policy and regulations.
• Coordinate with physicians’ offices to obtain required documentation.
• Assist with start-of-care packets, invoicing, and clinical visit reports reconciliation.
• Support marketing and referral materials with scheduling and outreach efforts.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality and participate in audits/quality reviews.
• Collaborate with clinical, intake, billing, and other teams to ensure patient care continuity.
