Job summary

Advantage Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) for a PRN home health role in Mifflin County, PA. You will manage a flexible schedule and provide one-on-one care in patients’ homes, helping individuals regain independence and confidence in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Pennsylvania OT license.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment programs to improve function, safety, and independence.
• Assess ability to perform ADLs and recommend adaptive techniques or equipment.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress timely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety and therapy goals.
• Supervise COTAs as appropriate.

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, you'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your schedule, providing one-on-one care in patients' homes, and helping individuals regain independence and confidence in performing the activities that matter most to them.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment programs to improve function, safety, and independence.


• Assess patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and recommend adaptive techniques or equipment as needed.


• Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive strategies, and ongoing therapy goals.


• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.


• Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania.

• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.


• Home health experience preferred, but not required.
