PARS Therapy in Athens, TX seeks a dedicated Home Health Occupational Therapist to empower patients to regain independence in their homes. You will deliver personalized, goal-oriented OT services, evaluating needs, designing plans, and monitoring progress in a collaborative care setting.

Requirements include an TX OT license, professional liability insurance, an accredited OT degree, and prior home health experience.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas (TX).
• Professional liability insurance for Texas OT practice.
• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in home health or rehabilitation preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of current OT treatment methods and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans under the supervision of an OT.
• Adapt and apply OT interventions to enhance safety and independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Educate clients on breaking down tasks and using adaptive strategies.
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment.
• Assess home environments and suggest modifications based on client needs.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance and education.
• Track and report patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Accurately document care provided and maintain up-to-date records.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continued progress and support.
