Job summary

Iowa Home Care is seeking a Home Health Aide / CNA for part-time evening shifts in West Des Moines, IA. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks, and help clients remain safe at home.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with CNA certification in good standing; 1–2 years in home care or related settings, a valid driver’s license, and excellent communication are required. Training and ongoing CE are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• CNA certification in good standing on state registry preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility support.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Assist with toileting, catheter care, and G-tube care.
• Help with light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols using appropriate PPE.
• Communicate any changes in condition to the RN and care team.
• Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence during visits.

What You’ll Do
