PARS Therapy in Jasper, TX is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our growing home health team. The role focuses on helping clients manage physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges and regain independence.

You will implement individualized treatment plans under an Occupational Therapist, document care, and communicate progress with families. Experience in home health and Texas COTA license are preferred.

Formación

• Active COTA license in Texas.
• Experience in home health or rehab settings preferred.
• Proficient with digital documentation and therapy software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support clients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Adapt therapeutic interventions to enhance safety and independence in ADLs and IADLs.
• Educate clients on breaking down tasks into manageable steps and using adaptive strategies.
• Recommend and train clients in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Assess home environments and suggest modifications based on client needs.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing guidance and education.
• Track and report patient progress toward treatment goals.
• Document care and maintain up-to-date records.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure continued progress and support.

Requirements:

• ActiveCOTA certification for the state of Texas
• Experience in home health or rehab setting preferred
• Solid understanding of occupational therapy practices and evaluation tools(e.g., Katz ADL, Lawton IADL scales)
