Halcyon Home is seeking a dedicated Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support our geriatric population in Austin, TX and surrounding areas. We offer competitive pay and wonderful team support.

A minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred, with knowledge of Homecare Homebase EMR a plus. The OTA provides coordinated therapy to patients under supervision, focusing on mobility, safety, and ADLs.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy.
• Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR would be a plus.
• Minimum of one year experience as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
• Minimum of one year of home health care experience
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with the elderly
• Strong clinical and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsabilidades

• Administers the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed by the OTR.
• Assess and facilitate therapeutic interventions for ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility.
• Facilitates patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues as related to patients ADL performance needs under supervision of the OTR.
• Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
• Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners involved in the patient’s care.
• Participate in the Agency’s QAPI program and in-service training.
• Meet continuing education requirements and demonstrate professional growth and competency.
• Promote the Agency’s philosophy and policies to ensure high-quality care

Key Responsibilities:

A minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred, along with a proven ability to manage a fast-paced, independent work schedule. Knowledge of Homecare Homebase software is a plus! A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision.
