Job summary

Right at Home Columbus is seeking Home Health Aides to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will perform personal care activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship, while ensuring safety and dignity in daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• Must be able to lift/move 50lbs without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• STNA, CNA or Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transferring/moving client throughout their home.
• Perform housekeeping: vacuum, dust, sweep/mop, dishes, laundry, bathroom.
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support range of motion exercises; dementia care.
• Provide companionship (reading, music, puzzles).

Shifts

• Available shifts 8AM to 10PM
• 2 to 4 hour shifts available that can provide schedule flexibility around your personal needs

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:
