Compassus is seeking a Home Health Aide to support patients in their homes, enabling recovery and maintaining independence.

Responsibilities include providing care, comfort and companionship, ensuring safety, and coordinating with families and care teams. CPR certified CNAs are preferred and licensure rules vary by state.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• In states where licensure is not required, must be already licensed/certified aide or have completed nurse aide training with 24 months continuous employment.

Home Health Aide Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant highly preferred.


• In states where licensure is not required (AL, FL, MI, MT, NM, TX), applicants must meet one of the following:
  
  
  
  • They are already a licensed/certified aide; or
  
  
  • They have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program AND have been continuously employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months
  
  
  
  


• Current CPR certification required.

State Specific Requirements

Indiana

• Aides required to be registered on the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry, licensure is not required.

Kansas

• Aide certified required to practice in the state.

Oklahoma

• Certification required within 4 months of employment as a home health or home care aide.

Wisconsin

• Aides required to be certified and listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
