Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide essential in-home care for patients in Mena, AR. You will assist with daily living activities, uphold care plans, and ensure patient safety and comfort while promoting independence.

The ideal candidate is reliable, empathetic, and comfortable using technology to document care. Employment may be part-time or full-time; drivers license and smartphone required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 75-hour Home Health Aide training course required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Smartphone with internet access required for position.
• Prior home health care experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
• Compassionate, patient, empathetic demeanor.
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility tasks.
• Comfortable using technology for documentation.
• Background checks and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report changes promptly.
• Assist with personal care tasks and daily living activities.
• Support light housekeeping, meals, and shopping as needed.
• Aid with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
• Know when to seek emergency assistance if required.
• Attend in-service trainings and maintain professional conduct.
• Use prescribed applications for recordkeeping and communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
