Job summary

BrightStar Care of Concord, Lexington, and Woburn, MA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Caregiver to provide quality in-home care. You’ll assist clients with activities of daily living, companionship, meal prep, and mobility support while following individualized care plans.

We offer flexible hours, competitive pay up to $21/hour, 24/7 RN oversight, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Home Health Aide certificate required.
• Certified CPR required.
• 1 year of caregiver/home care experience preferred.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.
• English communication skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation as needed.

Home Health Aide (HHA) Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping.

• Follow individualized care plans to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and transportation as needed.

Home Health Aide (HHA) Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Required: HHAs must have valid/verifiable Home Health Aide Certificate from a reputable educational program.
• Required: Certified CPR
• Preferred: one (1) year of documented caregiver, home care assistance experience is required
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to provide support to push and pull, bend, lift, kneel depending upon the mobility of the client and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
