Job summary

Sunshine Homecare Services in Manhattan/ Bronx is seeking Home Health Aides to join a family-oriented team dedicated to compassionate client care. The role offers flexible scheduling and competitive hourly pay with benefits including health and vision insurance and professional development support.

As a Home Health Aide, you will provide personal care, assist with transfers, monitor vital signs, document care, and maintain client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Completion of NYSDOH–approved HHA training or enrollment in approved trainee program under supervision.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to read/write English.
• Physical examination meeting NYS requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
• Annual submission of compliance documents (physical, TB test, and related forms).
• Two forms of ID required.
• 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care duties such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and scheduling appointments.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises as directed by a Home Care Nurse.
• Observe and report vital signs and symptoms to the Home Care Nurse.
• Record weight, pulse, temperature, respiration, and intake/output as directed.
• Prepare modified diets as ordered by the Home Care Nurse.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and client conditions.
• Ensure a safe environment by following asepsis standards and maintaining confidentiality.

• Prepare modified diets as ordered by Home Care Nurse
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, client conditions, and progress.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following asepsis standards and procedures.
• Maintain client and family confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a New York State Department of Health–approved Home Health Aide training program or enrollment in an approved trainee program under RN supervision.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Physical examination meeting NYS Department of Health requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
• Annual submission of compliance documents (physical, QuantiFERON or PPD test, chest x-ray if required, TB questionnaire, and MMRs
• 2 Forms of ID
• Completion of 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Compensation:

$19.65- $21.47 per hour

• 4-hour shifts that can be clustered with another nearby case to make a full days work if needed
